Meet Anne and Chris. Anne and Chris got married at the beautiful William Aiken House, nestled in the corner of King Street and Ann Street in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. A property which includes a wide variety of settings to choose from, inside and out, the William Aiken House was the perfect setting for the style of wedding Anne and Chris had.
Whenever we get the chance to shoot a non-traditional wedding we get extremely excited. Indian weddings typically include certain rituals and exotic looking attire and accessories worn that are a definite change in what we’re used to shooting, and that’s what made this wedding different. The deep fuchsia of Anne’s dress and accessories played nicely with the fuchsia colored accents of Chris’s neutral colored robe, making everything tie together perfectly.
Anne and Chris shared a beautiful first look filled with a wide range of emotions. You could really see the deep love both Anne and Chris had for one another, as they both teared up and couldn’t help but to chuckle when Chris turned around and saw his future wife. As the tears dried up and the smiles became more permanent, the two made their way down the intertwined rose-peddled aisle, where they would soon become one.
As the ceremony came to an end, and Anne and Chris walked away from the altar, Todd grabbed them to capture the first few photographs as a newlywed couple. Using the gardens and structures situated throughout the grounds of the William Aiken House, Todd was able to capture some of the best shots of the night. The sun began to set, and Anne and Chris were welcomed with smiles and cheers as everyone began to settle down for dinner, then it was off to the dancefloor. The night ended with Anne and Chris under the starry night sky as husband and wife.
