I always try to keep my senior portraits fresh, interesting and unique. Sometimes I do use the same locations, but I still try to approach each shoot with a unique perspective and fresh idea’s. I like to find out what my clients interest’s are and incorporate them in some way when we’re shooting together. Courtney is an aspiring actress and wanted to do some pictures around the very historic Dock Street Theatre. Though she does study acting, she was quite shy that day and seemed fairly nervous so I gave her actions that she could do and encouraged her to do more dramatic posing. If she loves acting and the theater, I’m sure when she’s in her comfort zone, or alone, she’s very dramatic and animated. So my goal was to get her comfortable so we could bring out her true nature and really capture, not only her beauty and interest of this time in her life, but also her spirit. And according to her Mom, we did!
